The Double Insulated Reverse Cone Cap (DIRCCap) eliminates flow resistance to flue gas by directing gas flow outward in a 360° pattern.
By insulating our design with a special Hollow Wool™ formulation, the bottom cone presents a HOT face to flue gas eliminating condensation problems associated with moisture laden flue gases contacting a cold metal surface. Our design will eliminate chimney and roof staining. If condensation is already present
due to below dew point flue gas, the reverse cone will direct condensation down and centered into the flue.
The DIRCCap is a very attractive cap because you are not looking from the ground into a convex.
Our DIRCCap is mechanically fastened with Super Rivets to the support arms. This guarantees our top will never fly away. This cap is UL tested and is guaranteed to last a lifetime! (Patent Pending.)
We normally make this cap with an outside clamp-around style. We also offer a slip-in version upon request. The DIRCCap is also available in all oval SUPER FLEX® sizes with a slip-in collar.
